1. Introduction

Capitaly ("we", "our", "the app") is a personal and business finance management application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

2. Data We Collect

Capitaly stores financial data locally on your device by default. If you activate cloud sync, Capitaly also stores a private copy in your Firebase account so the same data can sync between your devices.

• Financial transactions (income, expenses, transfers) - stored locally and optionally synced to your private cloud workspace
• Client and business information (names, contact details, collections, quotes) - stored locally and optionally synced
• Wallets, goals, budgets, debts, services, cards - stored locally and optionally synced
• Authentication profile data (name, email, sign-in method) - used to authenticate your account and, if sync is enabled, connect your private cloud data

3. Third-Party Services

Capitaly may use the following third-party services:

• Firebase Authentication and Firestore - Optional cloud sync for email or Google accounts. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Sign-In - Optional authentication provider. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic Claude API - Optional AI features. Only used after you explicitly grant permission in the app. Depending on the feature, the text you enter, the selected receipt image, and the relevant financial context needed to answer your request may be sent to Anthropic. You must provide your own API key. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Google Sheets API - Optional export feature. Only accesses sheets you explicitly authorize.
• StoreKit / App Store - Handles subscriptions, trials, purchases, and renewals.

4. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect analytics or usage data
• We do not track your location
• We do not sell or share your data with advertisers
• We do not use your financial data for advertising or profiling
• We do not store your API keys on our servers

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored using Apple's SwiftData framework on-device. When cloud sync is enabled, Capitaly also writes a synchronized copy to your private Firebase / Firestore account over an encrypted connection. If Apple device backups are enabled on your device, your system may also include Capitaly data in your personal backup. Biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID) is available for additional security.

6. Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

• Access - All your data is visible within the app
• Export - You can export your data as CSV at any time
• Delete - You can delete your local account, local app data, and synced cloud data from inside the app.
• Portability - CSV export allows you to move your data anywhere
• Consent - You can revoke permission for Anthropic-powered AI features at any time in the app settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Capitaly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
